This qualification reflects the role of community services workers involved in the delivery, management and coordination of person-centred services to individuals, groups, and communities.
At this level, workers have specialised skills in community services and work autonomously within their scope of practice under broad directions from senior management.
Workers support people to make change in their lives to improve personal and social wellbeing and may also have responsibility for the supervision of other workers and volunteers. They may also undertake case management and program coordination.
To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 200 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of units of competency.
The skills in this qualification must be applied in accordance with Commonwealth and State or Territory legislation, Australian standards and industry codes of practice.
No occupational licensing, certification or specific legislative requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.
20 units must be completed to attain this qualification, consisting of 12 compulsory units and 8 elective units.

This course will be run over 18 months for existing workers with a blend of face-face, work based training and assessment, and self-paced activities.
This course will be run as follows:
RPL is an assessment process recognising any skills and knowledge gained through previous training, work or life experience that are relevant to the qualification, to determine the extent to which you meet the qualification requirements for competency. The RPL process also identifies where any additional learning is needed to achieve competency in the qualification. Where this is required, gap training is available and will need to be completed. You may also apply for any Credit Transfer for any previously completed units.
You can apply for recognition of prior learning for any learning gained through previous employment or study. You may also apply for any credit transfer on units already completed. Please discuss this further by contacting us on 1300 404 514.
Full fee for service: $2,900.00
A $500 per person deposit is required upon commencement and the balance can be paid by regular fortnightly instalments.
